#ADDON #ACQUISITION #PORTFOLIO #ASCENTIEL #EURODOMMAGESAscentiel Successfully Completes the Acquisition of Eurodommages
Rueil-Malmaison/Bruges, May 27th, 2025 – Ascentiel Groupe (“Ascentiel”), a portfolio company of Cobepa and Amundi Private Equity Funds, is pleased to announce the completion of the acquisition of Eurodommages from Qualium. Eurodommages is a French MGA specializing in non-standard motor insurance and selected B2B segments. This is Ascentiel's first transformational acquisition since Cobepa and Amundi's investment in December 2024, in line with its strategy to complement organic growth in France and internationally with targeted acquisitions.
Through a wholesale network of 5,000 brokers in France, Eurodommages currently distributes and manages 35,000 policies in non-standard motor and professional lines (including construction, professional liability and motor fleets). Eurodommages operates with full binding authority from its tier 1 insurance and reinsurance partners, and its expertise covers the entire value chain from pricing to claims management (including bodily injury claims).
The acquisition will create a French leader in the distribution of specialty motor insurance for non-standard risk profiles and further strengthen Ascentiel's existing presence in professional lines. It also marks an important first step in the execution of Ascentiel’s growth strategy, creating a specialty brokerage platform with an even more diversified distribution set-up and a potential for replicability abroad.
Julien Ben Lahcen, CEO of Ascentiel comments: "This acquisition marks an important milestone in our ambition to become a European clear leader in specialty motor insurance, while strengthening our position in high-value B2B specialty lines. We look forward to partnering with Yann and his team, as this acquisition will open up numerous new opportunities to consolidate our leadership in France and expand internationally.”
Yann Drévillon, CEO of Eurodommages added: "We are excited to join forces with Ascentiel. Our complementary expertise creates a strong strategic fit and by combining our strengths we will create a broader and even more robust platform to better serve clients in complex specialty insurance segments. I would like to thank Qualium for their support since 2018.”
