Easyfairs Completes Its First Acquisition in North America
Brussels and Houston, 1 December 2025 – Our portfolio company Easyfairs completed its first acquisition in North America with the addition of EPC (Energy Project Conference & Expo), one of the world’s largest energy projects events. This transaction marks an important step in Easyfairs’ expansion into the US market and supports the company’s broader growth strategy to create a relevant platform for the dynamic energy sector.
Strong track record of growth
EPC has scaled rapidly since its creation three years ago by founder Josh Bull, doubling in size each year. What began as a hotel-based conference has grown into a tradeshow attracting 4,500 visitors and more than 200 exhibitors and sponsors in 2025. The event focuses on five key energy sub-segments: LNG Export, Power Generation, Petrochem and Refining, Midstream, and Alternative Energies.
Strategic expansion in the dynamic energy projects sector
The acquisition allows Easyfairs to strengthen its presence in a sector undergoing profound transformation driven by technological innovation, rising power demand, and increasing investment in both traditional and alternative energy sources. Easyfairs intends to grow EPC further by expanding its conference programme and developing each of its core sub-segments. In addition, the company plans to replicate EPC’s concept in other energy clusters internationally, building on its experience in geo-cloning successful event formats. Recent initiatives include the launch of the North American edition of Coiltech, one of the largest launches in the company’s history.
EPC’s founders and team welcomed the transaction and will continue to lead the event to ensure continuity and support future growth. The next edition of EPC will take place at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston on 16 and 17 June 2026.
Cobepa looks forward to supporting Easyfairs as it scales its operations in the US market and continues to reinforce its position as a global leader in trade shows.
